Shar Pei Rescue Inc. presently operate in NSW, QLD and VIC metro areas. We have very limited spaces available as we rely on the foster carer network due to not having a physical shelter. As such our main focus is rescuing the dogs facing death row in pounds; in some cases if space allows we will consider surrenders from public.

There are a few conditions and questions we will ask if you are considering surrendering your pet into rescue with our organisation. Are they desexed and up to date with vaccinations? Have their eyes been addressed? Do they have any existing medical or skin issues? Under the act for Domestic Animal Welfare, it is required by law that all vetwork to our knowledge needs to be completed prior to rehome.  Surrendered dogs would have to pass a behaviour assessment for suitable rehoming prior to acceptance. This includes suitability with people, children and other dogs.

If you are considering surrendering your pet, you are welcome to email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please include where possible as much information as noted above about your dog, and basic details such as age, colour, photo etc. and anything else you think we should know about your situation.
